System Components
Dynamic Speed & Separation Monitoring
3D Monitoring
Sbot Sensors are positioned on the periphery of the workcell to capture rich image data of the entire space.
Tracks & Calculates
Sbot Tehnology uses 3D data to identify the workcell including the robot, workpiece, human and occlusions in order to track and calculate all possible future states.
Stop & Restart
If a human is closer to the robot than the Protective Separation Distance (PSD), Sbot signals the robot to stop. When the PSD violation is cleared, Sbot allows the robot to safely restart.
HOW SBOT WORKS
Connection to Robot Controller
Responds to a PSD violation by issuing a dual channel safety output signal to indicate whether or not the robot should stop. When the PSD violation is cleared, Sbot Tehnology allows the robot to safely restart.

Blank large objects in your workcell such as workpieces so they do not trigger PSD violations.

Monitors the entire volume of a workcell in 3D, ensuring that the robot operates safely in any scenario, and implements dynamic Speed and Separation Monitoring (SSM), enabling safe interaction between humans and robots.

Dynamic Protective Separation Distance
A real-time understanding of the space enables dynamic computation of the extent of this robot hazard, which moves with the robot and workpiece. It calculates possible future robot positions and signals the robot to stop by sending safety outputs that indicate if the robot is closer to a human than the Protective Separation Distance (PSD).
